Reddit Ads campaign monitoring, from community to checkout
Borealis reads spend, impressions, clicks, key conversions and purchase value for every Reddit campaign, day by day, up to yesterday in the ad account's time zone. Each campaign is judged against its own history, whatever its targeting or placement.
Spend, impressions, clicks
Read per campaign and day, as Reddit reports them. When impressions fall while CTR holds, the campaign reached fewer people: look at budget, bid and how narrow the community or keyword targeting has become.
Key conversions
Conversions are the key conversions Reddit reports for each campaign, from the events your Reddit Pixel or Conversions API send. A broken event shows up as conversion rate dropping in several campaigns at once.
Purchase value and ROAS
Value is the purchase value your events send to Reddit. ROAS shows whether a campaign earns more per dollar, so fewer but larger orders read as good news; campaigns without purchase value are judged on CPA.
CPA and conversion rate
When CPA jumps, Borealis shows whether conversion rate or cost per click moved it. A falling conversion rate with steady clicks points to the landing page, the offer or the pixel, not to the audience.
CPC, CTR and CPM
The auction and relevance signals. On Reddit the same communities see your ads again and again, so a CTR slide with flat CPC often means the creative is wearing out, while a CPM jump points to competition for that audience.
Reddit clicks vs. GA4
With GA4 in the same project, Borealis checks that Reddit clicks still turn into paid sessions on the site and that key conversions and site key events move together. When they part ways, tracking or the landing page changed.
Example
Reddit Ads alerts that come with the cause
Three examples of what Borealis raises on a Reddit Ads account, from critical to opportunity; the numbers are illustrative.
CPA increased 64% on Conversions — Purchase
Main driver: conversion rate −39% since the 9th, with CPC and CTR steady: people still click, fewer buy. The same drop hit 4 of 5 conversion campaigns on the same day, which points to the Reddit Pixel, the Conversions API or the checkout rather than targeting.
Clicks decreased 28% on Traffic — Communities
Main driver: CTR −31% since the 5th, with CPC and impressions flat: the same creatives keep running to the same communities. The campaign explains 52% of the account's drop in clicks; refresh the ads or widen the community list with interest or keyword targeting.
ROAS increased 36% on Conversions — Conversation placement
Conversions −9%, but value per conversion +49%: fewer purchases, larger orders from the campaign running between comments in conversation threads. Each dollar now returns more, so Borealis files it as an opportunity; if it holds, the campaign is a candidate for more budget.

How Borealis connects to Reddit Ads
Sign in with the Reddit account you use for Reddit Ads. Borealis lists the ad accounts in every business that login belongs to, grouped by business, and you pick one ad account for each client's project. If a client's account is shared with your agency through partner sharing and does not appear, your login may need to be a member of the client's business.
Borealis asks Reddit for a single permission, adsread, which reads ads data and nothing else. If a connection ever comes back with broader access, Borealis refuses it instead of storing it. Data is daily, up to yesterday's complete day in each ad account's time zone, so it is not real-time.
- Read-only by permission: Borealis requests only adsread and refuses any connection that grants more, so it cannot create, edit, pause or delete anything.
- Aggregated totals per campaign and day, used only for your analysis and never sold or shared. Nothing about the Redditors who saw your ads.
- Your Reddit authorization is stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM), used only on the server and never sent to the browser.
- Disconnect in Borealis and the authorization is revoked with Reddit. You can also remove Borealis anytime from the authorized apps in your Reddit account.
FAQ
Questions about Reddit Ads monitoring
Can Borealis make changes to my Reddit Ads campaigns?
No. Borealis asks Reddit only for adsread, the read-only ads permission, and refuses any connection that grants more. It never creates, edits, pauses or deletes campaigns, ad groups, ads or budgets.
Can I monitor several Reddit Ads businesses and ad accounts?
Yes. When you sign in, Borealis lists the ad accounts in every Reddit business your login belongs to, grouped by business, and you assign each ad account to its client's project.
Why doesn't a client's Reddit ad account show up in Borealis?
Borealis lists the ad accounts inside the businesses your Reddit login is a member of. An account shared with your agency's business through partner sharing may not be listed; asking the client to add your login to their business and then reconnecting usually solves it.
Which Reddit Ads conversions does Borealis count?
Borealis counts the key conversions Reddit reports for each campaign and uses their purchase value for ROAS and value per conversion. Both come from the events your Reddit Pixel or Conversions API send.
