This page explains how to delete the data Borealis keeps about you and about the accounts you connected, including data obtained through Facebook Login (Meta), Google and the other ad platforms.
What Borealis keeps
- Your account: email, organization, role, projects and preferences.
- Connections: the access token of each platform you connected, stored encrypted, and the list of ad accounts you chose with their settings.
- Alert history: which alerts were marked as investigated and which were already emailed.
Campaign performance data is not stored in a database: it is read from the platforms when you open the analysis and kept in memory for at most 10 minutes.
Disconnect a platform
In the app, open Integrations and click Disconnect on the connection. The stored token is deleted immediately, that connection’s accounts leave your projects and, where the platform allows it, the access is also revoked on its side.
Remove Borealis from Facebook (Meta)
- On Facebook, open Settings & privacy → Settings.
- Go to Business integrations (or Apps and websites).
- Find Borealis Data Lab and click Remove.
From then on Borealis can no longer read your data on Meta. To also delete what is stored in Borealis, follow the step below.
Delete your account and all your data
Email [email protected] from your account’s address with the subject Data deletion. After confirming the request is yours, within 30 days we delete:
- your account and your access to the app;
- the tokens and connections to platforms;
- the organizations where you are the only member, with their projects, accounts and alert history.
If your organization has other members, you are removed from it and the organization’s data stays with them. Backups are overwritten within 30 days. We keep only what the law requires, such as tax records when there are charges. We let you know by email when the deletion is complete.
Data sent through the website
If you left your name and email in the early access form, ask for its deletion at the same address. More details in the Privacy Policy.
